Kate Heiss

Kate Heiss studied at the Royal College of Art graduating with an MA in Textile Design in 1977. She then worked as a textile designer across a wide range of fashion brands before setting up her own printmaking studio in 2011.

Kate is a contemporary printmaker who is driven by her love of nature, especially the flowers, birds and insects found in her garden and locally in the countryside of East Anglia. Kate produces small limited editions of bold and illustrative prints that are influenced by her love of textiles, pattern and colour.
She works in a variety of printmaking techniques including linocut, screen print and collage. Often her work combines more than one technique making many of her handmade prints truly unique. Kate exhibits throughout the UK and continues to collaborate with various companies who have licensed her designs.
